Glyptotek is a contemporary restoration and revival typeface inspired by lettering found on the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in central Copenhagen — a significant museum building designed by architect Vilhelm Dahlerup in the early 1880s. The original alphabet is a peculiar ‘mixed’ design, with serif uppercase and sans serif lowercase letters. The new Glyptotek font is now available in three categories: Sans (A), a matching Serif (B), and a mixed case option (C+D), just like the original source. The Glyptotek font family is free to use for all designers working directly with the museum on exhibition signage, publications, or public-facing campaigns.
