Zetal is a Geometric Grotesk inspired by the industrial modernism of signage on water tanks and cargo containers, blending the strong typographic heritage of the Enschede foundry with mid-20th-century American influences. These latter influences, characterized by direct clarity and expressive strength, evoke the aesthetics of large urban and industrial structures, seamlessly integrating with European geometric precision. The forms of Zetal are built on a rigorous grid that emphasizes geometric harmony, with expanded horizontal proportions that give the typeface a solid, mechanical presence. The proportions are carefully crafted to convey balance and precision: the width of the letters ensures solidity without compromising legibility. The metric consistency between vertical and horizontal elements creates a regular, uniform rhythm, underscored by a structure that prioritizes geometric clarity. The robustness of the forms remains constant, providing the text with a technical, functional imprint. Every detail contributes to the overall perception of order and rationality, reflecting the essential and precise nature of Zetal. [aieou.tools]
