Greg Gazdowicz’s heuristic exploration of the various ways humans interact with digital text led him to design Terza, a typeface in three modes (or “speeds”). Terza Reader, the fastest variant, takes cues from Bembo, Centaur, and Poliphilus, all based on the Aldine text types cut by Griffo. Terza Author, ideal for composing new material on screen, decelerates the tempo by becoming wider and airier. And Terza Editor, the slowest variant, embraces the tradition of monospaced typewriter faces to create a steady, incantatory rhythm—perfect for writing on writing. [commercialtype.com]
