SuperBlue

SuperBlue is a casual, cheerful sans serif family designed by Seán Donohoe, a Danish type designer and sign painter. Seán crafted the first version of the family during his time in the TypeMedia master’s program in type design at the Royal School of Art (KABK) in The Hague. While making initial sketches, he took advantage of his sign-painting skills, using two flat brushes to define SuperBlue’s basic forms. Despite its spontaneous appearance, SuperBlue does not break with the canon of traditional letterforms. Designers can readily use it to set text on paper and screens without encountering any legibility issues. Moreover, the incised appearance of its stems give words set in capital letters or small caps a remarkable elegance. [re-type.com]
