ST Toone

Toone is a new original font family inspired by a thin wooden, elongated poster typeface from the printing type collection of Fonderie Typographique A. Vanderborght & Dumont, a 19th century Belgian type foundry in Brussels. The Toone font family includes a tall spiky serif & a sans serif version of the same regular type style. The slender and condensed look delivers a clean & contemporary style which makes Toone very suitable for logo’s, editorial & poster design, film credits, advertising, branding and packaging design. Toone is part of ‘Typo Belgiëque’, a practice oriented scientific research & type design project examining the visual design identity of Belgium in the nineteenth and twentieth century that breathes new life into Belgium’s historical typeface families.
