LTC Goudy Heavyface is in the style of bold, broadside poster lettering from the turn of the 20th century. It was designed by Frederic Goudy in 1925. It was made to be Lanston Monotype’s answer to the then relatively new “Cooper Black.” The similarity is obvious, but Goudy Heavyface has a distinct Fred Goudy touch and an informal feel, making it unique and a welcome alternative to the now ubiquitous Cooper Black.
