Granda is a sans-serif typeface rooted in the Grotesk genre. Its lively proportions bring warmth to the text. The italic's contrasted structure adds emphasis and reveals personality in paragraphs and headlines. Granda Reclined is a playful alternative, counterbalancing the italic. Additionally, it opens up possibilities for building hierarchy and headline usage, like an extra display style within the system, packaged in a single variable font. Grotesk typefaces became a symbol of modernism in graphic design. They often aim to be clean and even sterile. However, early examples of the genre show lots of quirks and a range of unexpected treatments. That was the inspiration for creating Granda, a type family with multiple flavors. Unlike the uniformly shiny glass skyscraper, Granda is more like a block of flats, revealing the life of individual personalities with the vast variety of every balcony decoration.
