Genepi is a typeface born from the Tavern, the creative and experimental wavy tool crafted by Gaëtan Baehr. It has been inspired directly by the iconic lettering of Central Park’s “Tavern on the Green.” Designed exclusively in capitals, Genepi optimizes the tool's ability to create flowing wave effects, resulting in dynamic and unexpected visual patterns. This linear font, with minimal contrast and delicate flares, evokes the refined aesthetics of the Art Nouveau movement while embracing modern versatility. Genepi features a width variation axis and four unique axes controlling the top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right corners of each letter. These innovations allow for unparalleled customization and creative expression, enabling designers to craft surprising and unique visual effects. [black-foundry.com]

The design seems to be referencing Kevin Cantrell’s lettering work for the restaurant.
