Empress

Empress (formally known as Vilaage) is a versatile flared serif derived from the lettering found around Hackney Village, just north of Victoria Park in East London. The lettering found around the Village ranges in width and weight, but are unified by ornamental and luxurious characteristics, predominantly the drooping crossbar found in the A and H – these are reflected in this typeface through stylistic sets.
